Intro:
In July 2023, I set out on an unforgettable journey—a 9-day thru-hike of the Tahoe Rim Trail, covering an incredible 170 miles. This wasn’t just a hike; it was a test of endurance, adaptability, and mental grit. In my latest video, I share the highs, lows, and everything in between. Here’s a quick look at what you’ll discover—and why you’ll want to watch the full story.

Daily Mileage & Milestones
I averaged over 20 miles per day, with my shortest day at 8.9 miles and my longest at a jaw-dropping 24.6 miles. From Kingsbury South to Tahoe City, every day brought new challenges and victories.

Key Challenges & How I Overcame Them
• Heat & Hydration: Extreme heat slowed my pace and drained my energy. On Day 1, I nearly ran out of water and had to melt snow at Spooner Summit to stay hydrated. Later, I learned to manage the heat with frequent breaks and smarter water carries.
• Physical Ailments: An ankle issue started on Day 1 and stuck with me, but I pushed through. Later, a severe sunburn on my hands—thanks to medication for a tick bite—forced me to improvise with snow gloves for sun protection.
• Gear Adjustments: A heatwave and heavy water loads made me rethink my gear. I sent back my puffy jacket and focused on lightweight, high-calorie foods like nuts and beef sticks.
